The next big change to hit employers is ‘auto enrolment’

The government introduced a new law that requires all employers to provide a workplace pension scheme to make it easier for individuals to save for their pension.
The new scheme requires all UK employers to enrol their workers into a qualifying workplace pension scheme if they are not already in one.

Employers will have to automatically enrol workers who meet certain criteria:
  • aged 22 to state pension age 
  • working in the UK 
  • earning over £10,000 a year
